Earlier this week you may have seen the all important announcement that I’ve started wearing caps & high socks to gym (because apparently this is vitally important information to share 🤨😂) Jokes aside, I do want to say that my biggest growth at gym hasn’t been my quads but my confidence 🥰. I remember when I first started & was absolutely clueless & terribly intimidated (still am if I’m honest!) wearing my old hand-me-down baggy track pants & shirts. Of course it does NOT matter what you wear to gym (obvs! And it does kind of get all gross & sweaty anyway!!) But one way I’ve seen progress has been feeling more comfortable in my own skin & expressing this through what I wear. It took me two years before I moved from baggy track pants to tights (yip, it’s ridiculous, but I was terrified!) & then ANOTHER year before I worked up the courage to squeeze myself in tiny gym shorts 😬. I may be poking fun at myself with the caps & high socks at gym but it actually acts as a testament for myself - rocking what I think makes me look good & feel good (regardless of what anyone might say - although I’ve come to find that no one actually cares & everyone is too obsessed with themselves 😅). If you want to wear your fave old race T-shirt that’s falling apart or fearlessly love yourself in a matching crop top & tights combo then DO THAT 💯. Maybe it’s not about clothes for you but finally overcoming that barrier of joining that gym class you’ve wanted to try or moving from your usual cardio machine to the weight section to try something new - GO FOR IT 👌🏽. Here is to finding that strength, acceptance, approval & admiration WITHIN 💪🏽. .

Today was technically rest day, so I stayed home from the gym. That didn't stop me from moving though! I got out and mowed the grass, weeded the flowerbed, and then completed this little project! I was so tired of having to move my swing out of the way to mow the grass, so I took some extra bricks I had laying around and viola!! I dug up the grass, cut out some gardening cloth (no idea what it's actually called 😂), and laid the stones down. I think it turned out pretty cute if I say so myself! ❤

RSD 1,576: definitely needed to get the crazies out today. Only had time for a mile, but could’ve and would’ve gone for much longer if the chips had fallen differently. At least the streak lives on. 🤞🏾 for a sunny day tomorrow and perhaps a lunch hour run.

It used to be just me and my brother. Growing up I was that little brother that followed my older brother around and did everything that he did. My brother taught me everything and was a role model to me. Well now I have the opportunity to do the same and teach my brother, his wife and my wife how to improve their diets and live a healthier life.
I wouldn't be the man I am today if my sister in-law Christina and my wife Megen didn't come into my life. They are some of the strongest women I have ever met and every family vacation with then our friendship and love for each other grows stronger.
We went shopping together and it was nice to be asked "is this good for my diet" "should I get this" "oh no this is too bad for me I'm putting it back" I want them to live the best life and if I can help with providing them a workout or even helping educate them on their diet and right choices I will.

Just a little update 😬🤞🏻. 78 lbs down and chugging along. This week I’ve increased my length and intensity in my workouts. I feel such a change like yeah 45 minutes was good and all but what doubling it does for a person. That time doesn’t even have to using equipment go for a walk do something that keeps you active. August to now. The change is real and I can’t wait to break 80lbs this weekend. The biggest and best decision I ever made was bringing @emmyallisonn into my life. Not even a full year of training in and she has gotten me to turn my whole life around in and outside of the gym. I did this before by myself and failed miserably honestly. Having her has truly made the biggest difference. So if your second guessing weather a trainer is truly beneficial I’ll tell you hands down it is. She’s taught me failure is not an option and anything is possible more times then I can count. Never in my life did I imagine all these things happening. Today I wore a damn crop top. Who am I 😂. In all seriousness I love who I’ve become and I am so thankful for everyone who’s apart of my journey. 💕 here’s to ending March strong as hell 👏🏻.
