  • Well it really won't be long until there's 4 of us now... ⏳🤰 Just found this from our holiday in Sept. God I miss the sun & the light. And air! Am very stuck indoors now... 😩 . I felt VERY pregnant when we took this, but looking at the photo not sure you can really see my bump at all! 🤰 I was about 25 weeks and already struggling with transfers. In fact my bump didn't ever get much bigger than this through my whole pregnancy with Mainie, so of course I felt shockingly big. 🤰♿ Oh dear god there is no comparison with the size of me now! 😂 Mainie keeps saying "maybe you will burst!" Rather gleefully, tbh... 😒😉 . Must MUST take some photos while I'm enormous - I only have a few weeks to go and I do not intend to repeat this! ⏳ But I feel so grotty and enormous I keep putting it off. Intended to get some proper maternity photos taken this time and can't believe we've done nothing. Nothing! 😩🤰 ♿⏳ . #pregnancy #unseasonalposts #branscombe #allthreecatchpoles

  • Tag a friend who would love to visit beautiful Devon - they look straight from the pages of a Miss Marple or Sherlock Holmes novel don't they? The first is Buckland in the Moor and the second, Branscombe. Both of these super shots are by @livingindevon . Buckland in the Moor is one of the prettiest in Dartmoor, with proper 'chocolate box' thatched cottages and folk who correctly put the jam on their scone AFTER the cream (unlike the Cornish folk who do the opposite) Now some say this is a silly thing to argue about, but the great jam wars of 1521 are still etched into the minds of the villagers here. On the right of the picture you can just make out the castle-like structure of St Peter's church which dates from the 15th or early 16th century. . The village was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 as 'Bochelande', and the name probably comes from the words 'book land'; that is, land held by charter. Talking of classic novels in sleepy old English villages - the Sherlock link would make perfect sense as The Hound of the Baskervilles was set largely on Dartmoor in Devon and tells the story of an attempted murder inspired by the legend of a fearsome, diabolical hound of supernatural origin. . Branscombe (2nd shot) is located at the meeting point of two valleys or combes, and this is how it derives its name. Branscombe’s thatched cottages meander down a magnificent valley nearly all the way to the sea and the village is believed to be the longest village in England. Perfect exercise after stuffing your face with cake and tea. . Lovely places to visit, great shots by @livingindevon 🇬🇧 To be featured - follow and tag us, 'ta! 🇬🇧

  • How cute does Branscombe look in this pic? 😍 The South Devon village is often referred to as one of the most peaceful places on the Jurassic coastline and is thought to be the longest village in the country. With the streets lined with brightly coloured homes 🏠 and thatched cottages with climbing roses 🌹, it is truly one of the most picturesque spots in England. Explore this breathtaking area by foot and soak up the unique beauty this little pocket of South West England has to offer. 📷 : @livingindevon #VisitEngland #VisitDevon #Branscombe

  • Today we had our first coastal walk of Spring. Up over the cliffs at Branscombe...here in Devon on the Jurassic Coast, a half hour drive from home. Such a beautiful day. Sunshine and light breezes. It's quite a hike to the top but well worth the effort because of the view. Realising I am very unfit after the winter. More cardio walks are needed....achy knees this afternoon 🙄 Had lunch in the garden for the first time this year 🌞 Happy Sunday 😊

  • We may not have had the best weather on the day we decided to walk the coastal path from Branscombe to Beer, but the scenery along the route (coupled with the picturesque village of Branscombe and those sunrise runs down to the beach) really made me fall in love with Devon. . . I'm actually heading to a different part of Devon with my mum next weekend - to Babbacombe and Dartmouth - and I'm hoping that I'll love it as much as I did Branscombe and Beer 😍 . . Have you visited Devon? Anywhere in particular that you'd recommend?

  • One of the things (and there were many!) I loved about Branscombe was that you felt like you were tucked away in a little rural village in the middle of the countryside, yet in less than a 10-minute walk, along paths like these, you could be on the beach. . . Best of both worlds 😍

  • Was lucky enough to be given some outrageously delicious oyster mushrooms from @chideockchampignons enough to turn into a quick lunch for 1 (ME) :- oysters with wild garlic that I picked in Branscombe, with thyme, on soft goats cheese on toast. Get in. Swipe for pics of the mushrooms and of the wild garlic bounty 😱

  • The calm before the storm. Looks like more unsettled weather is on the way over the next couple of days with plenty of wind and rain forecast. Still, today wasn't too bad on the weather front, a bit grey later on into the day, but I'll take that. Captured this image down on Branscombe beach using the @huaweimobileuk P20 Pro, deliberately focusing on the foreground pebbles for something a little different. #visitdevon #visiteastdevon #visitbranscombe #greatbritishcoast #lovejurassiccoast
