Kkkkkkkk Meninas, ainda vou comentar como foi esses procedimentos estéticos de harmonização facial que fiz na clínica da Dra Renata. Um amorzinho de pessoa. Gravei alguns pedaços de como foi, fotos de antes, e depois. Vou responder a todas as perguntas que recebi e algumas que eu mesma fiz pq fiquei morrendo de medo de fazer 😂.   • Let’s talk favorite races!🤗 I’m running one of my very favorite of favorites this Sunday, the @tkriverrun 🙌 It was the first 10 miler I ever ran back in 2014, and I absolutely LOVE it! It’s small enough to feel personal, it’s so perfectly organized and directed, and lots of friends run it every year, so it’s kind of like a running family reunion!💃🕺What could be better?🏃‍♀️🎉 . Anybody else have favorite races you can’t bear to miss every year? . Today’s run was short, sweet and rainy🤩 And now no more runs for me until the race on Sunday. I have definitely developed a new appreciation for rest and recovery😴😜 Happy Friday-eve guys!!💕🎉

Wet feet, my post-lunch food baby and country music set the mood tonight. 😂🙋🏻‍♀️ The temp was perfect and I’m kinda loving the extra light. 🙌🏼 6 miles total today with the lonely one I ran this morning..🕺🏼 I think the Mediterranean food I had at lunch fueled pretty well.   • Good morning! Throwing it back to Boston 2017 this morning - my 2nd Boston. Ran this injured🙁 #tbt Things had been going well (mid-divorce), I had moved across town, Sean and I moved in together and Dec thru mid-March, my training had been amazing, but then on March 17, 4 weeks from race day on my 20 miler I felt a shooting pain down my back. ——I didn't think much of it, until the next day. I lived in a town house at the time and the stairs killed me. Painful every time leading up to the race. I only ran once that week and considered dropping out of the half marathon I had planned for that week. I vowed to take it easy but then halfway thru the race I knew I was lead female and I guess it was my ego at that point🙄I sped up to hold onto it and ending up winning my 1st half marathon. I was thrilled that day, but the next day I knew it was a huge mistake. ——I walked a few times on the treadmill that week and ran 10 painful miles the following weekend. I couldn't really identify where the pain was - I thought it was deep in my piriformis. I saw several different chiropractors, had acupuncture & cupping done, massage 2x a week and cryo 1-2x a week. I swam and cycled instead. WHY DID I NOT SEE A DOCTOR?! I think part of me knew I was injured and didn't want to be told I couldn't run Boston. Nowadays I know much better about when to go see an orthopedic. ——Anyway, took another 6 days off. Ran 12 slow miles. Week of race, one slow 6 miler and a 5 miler. All in all 53 miles in the 4 weeks leading up to race day. I didn't know what was going to happen, but I knew whether or not I had to walk or crawl, I was crossing that finish line. ——Had the wonderful support of my best friend @yaminaisabel and her hubby on this trip also♥️Sean had also proposed to me the week before💍 ——Back to the race: I was all KT taped up on my glutes & hips. Ran into some IG friends in my corral @lesky27 @b_a_bowman @fruitfulrunner and stayed with them thru about mile 18 and I was so thankful. I ran that day on pure heart and I crossed that finish line in tears knowing I re-qualified for next year. What an emotional season and race day. I could go on and on. —— (Continued in comments!)

This weeks workouts have been off since my “surprise” root canal on Tuesday and today was the first day my mouth didn’t drive me to distraction because of the pain.   • First we had Millie the Treadmill and now we have Bessie the Bike. Will I ever get outside and enjoy the beautiful spring weather?? 😭 But actually, I am beyond grateful I do have easy access to cardio equipment so that I can maintain my fitness while my calf heals up. The good news is that pain has become almost nonexistent with everyday tasks! The only time I feel some soreness is going up and down stairs and if I press into the outside part of my calf. All my fingers and toes crossed that I’ll be back to easy miles this weekend! 🤞🏻

  • High fives all around! Finished up my work day and squeezed in a 2 mile stroller run before dinner time. I may still be a newbie runner, I may not be the fastest, and I may not be running as far as others. But let me tell you, I'm 100% at peace with that. 🌵 🌵 Sure, most runners may be training for some epic races and are running a gazillion miles a week. But I try not to compare my journey to other people's journeys. For me, it's all about where I started and how far I've come. (A year ago, in March, I ran only 5.2 miles. The entire month!) Over the last year(ish) I've made some major strides (pun intended). So while I may not have run in school and don't have years of running experience under my belt, I do have some Personal Best times that I'm damn proud of. 🌵 🌵 Anyway, I share all of that to say that if you're feeling like you may not be where you want to be, whether it's running or any other aspect of your life, hang in there. Your hard work will pay off. And be proud of your journey and how far you've come!! 🙌🏽

❌ I slept through my alarm and missed 7:00 AM @flywheelsports with my colleagues. ⏰
❌ My body is sore EVERYWHERE from yesterday’s Barkley...
  • - ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ❌ I slept through my alarm and missed 7:00 AM @flywheelsports with my colleagues. ⏰ ❌ My body is sore EVERYWHERE from yesterday’s Barkley Marathons-themed workout with @novemberprojectseattle. ❌ I started my 🔴 so I had cramps all day and was exhausted. 😣🔥⚡️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -BUT- ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✅ I attended the 5:30 PM class because I said I’d FLY today. All about that DOING > TALKING, baby! ✅ I dug real deep and got 282 power score, placing 5th overall female! 🏅 ✅ I feel more energized and my cramps disappeared! It’s true - exercise does alleviate menstrual cramps! 🚴🏻‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today may not have started how I wanted it to, but I made damn sure it ended the way I wanted it to. Proof that it’s never too late to turns things around for the better. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Can’t wait to 🚿 then hop into 🛌 - got an early morning date with @novemberprojectseattle! Good night, friends! 😴💤 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Whew!! Now that one felt tough! 2x 4km repeats with a few 500m hard efforts mixed in between. I was hopeful that I could hit my target paces but was a bit nervous that I wouldn't be able to hold on. Turns out, a good attitude really is the best thing to bring to a workout because once I hit my first few paces my confidence grew a little. I ended up with paces right within my targets but faded a little right at the end (4:14, 4:05, 4:11, 3:57, 4:14, 4:18, 3:55, 4:22, 4:05, 4:21) I think I'll always be a bit anxious going into a tough workout but like my favourite quote from @des_linden , just #keepshowingup !
