#tbt to Tobacco road Half Marathon. This was my second Half Marathon after only running a few months and I remember being so incredibly disappointed at the way I looked in this photo. If I'm honest I was totally embarrassed. I thought, wow I don't look like a "real runner". I had only seen all my imperfections and that disappointment had taken away my accomplishments. I had forgotten that in only 3 months I went from a 2hr06 Half Marathon to a 1hr56 Half Marathon. .
It has taken me a long time realize that you are not defined as a runner by what you look like, what clothes you wear, what pace or distance you run but by your drive to be the best version of yourself. It's the passion you feel deep inside you that drives you. Putting in the hard work day in and day out to be the best runner you can be. If you run you are a runner. I've gone on to run marathons, ultramarathons and all this with my amazing imperfect body and I'm proud to call myself a runner. .
Remember to focus on the good😉.

Finally - a decent feeling run. Wet feet, my post-lunch food baby and country music set the mood tonight. 😂🙋🏻♀️ The temp was perfect and I’m kinda loving the extra light. 🙌🏼 6 miles total today with the lonely one I ran this morning..🕺🏼 I think the Mediterranean food I had at lunch fueled pretty well. So good! 🤤 What did you guys have for lunch?

Sometimes it’s important to do what is going to feel good and sometimes it’s important to do what you feel will be good for you. After a few days of spring weather, I REALLY didn’t want to go run in the cold wet snow today. But I knew I would regret it if I didn’t. So I forced myself out, never got into a groove, and frankly didn’t really enjoy it at all. But I did it and was glad I did. #runner#holistichealth#emotionalhealth#mentalhealth#mountaingirl
RSD 1,576: definitely needed to get the crazies out today. Only had time for a mile, but could’ve and would’ve gone for much longer if the chips had fallen differently. At least the streak lives on. 🤞🏾 for a sunny day tomorrow and perhaps a lunch hour run.

We finally got 100 miles together this week! Having two feet of snow, followed by arctic temperatures, and rounded out with another two feet of snow killed our pace for the first few months. I’m confident with the current gorgeous weather in Texas we can make it up!

Honestly, I'm exhausted tonight. I was considering not running... I was a little out of sorts all day today and I have a ton to get done if I'm going to get the run club program up and running (literally... lol) before the end of the school year. But I need the miles this week, so I got ready and then it took me another HOUR to actually get my brain to make my body walk out the door! Blah. I was seriously just thinking I'd have a nice little meandering 3 mile run. But I'll tell you what... running gets me. It just takes over, and I swear some of my best runs happen when I didn't even feel like doing it in the first place. That's the magic of running... It will reach down and yank you right out of whatever funk you're in. And now I'm feeling much better... got a little more work done and now I'm going to bed to read my book! 💞 The moral of this rambling post? GO RUN! You'll feel better and you'll get stuff done! Lol! 😄
It's Aiden's 8th Birthday today. Can't believe how fast time flies. My wild child has been so active since being born. Because of that he's been the best running partner ever, and he's the reason I started running again. I'm so proud of everything he has accomplished, Happy 8th Birthday my love.

올해는 대회 숫자가 작년에 비해 근소하지만 줄었다
목표 갯수를 정해놓고 선택과집중 하기로 했다
물론 그렇다고 해도 갯수가 적은건 아니다
하지만 조금 더 다양한 시도를 해보고 싶어서 그렇게 하기로 했다
물론 준비과정은 쉽지 않을 것 같다
특히 장거리가 많아 걱정이다
그치만 어떻게든 하면 다 했고 돌이켜보면 재밌었다
내생각에 운동은 운동 그 자체보다 전후가 더 중요한 것 같다
대회 하나 하나 준비 잘 하고 정리 잘 하자
어디서든 👍 할 수 있게

Soy una corredora súper amateur que ama correr y sólo busca tener buena salud no correr a 5min/km🙂, por eso no entreno para ese objetivo. Soy una estudiante de yoga con un cartoncito que dice que soy profe🙋, pero sigo en constante aprendizaje y sólo sé quizá el 1% de este mundo yóguico y acepto que soy súper nueva pero tengo hartas ganas de aprender, de compartir y hartas ganas de enseñar lo que sé!
